About Me

Hey, I’m Jonathan Davila, photographer, film lab owner, and the person behind iLA Film Lab & Store in Holyoke, Massachusetts. I opened iLA in 2021 and it’s been growing ever since. I run everything here myself, from developing and scanning to darkroom printing and workshop instruction.

I’ve taught film photography and darkroom printing at the high school level, and I continue to host hands-on workshops throughout the year. Sharing this process and helping others connect with film is something I genuinely care about.

The lab isn’t open to the public, but we’ve built a unique setup. Customers fill out a quick work order form and drop off their film in our secure drop box. It’s simple, efficient, and one of the only setups like this in Massachusetts.

As a proud Puerto Rican and lifelong creative, building this space in my hometown has meant everything to me. You can trust me with your film, I’ve spent years refining my process and making sure each roll is handled with care.

When I’m not at the lab, I’m usually spending time with my wife and our two dogs, out shooting, or substitute teaching in local schools.

Thanks for being here.
