iLA Film Lab – Film Processing Terms & Limitation of Liability

FILM PROCESSING & SCANNING

By submitting film, negatives, disposable cameras, or other photographic materials to iLA Film Lab for processing, scanning, or related services, you acknowledge that photographic film is an inherently sensitive and sometimes irreplaceable physical medium.

iLA Film Lab takes reasonable care when handling and processing all customer materials. However, film development and scanning involve mechanical, chemical, electronic, and human processes, and results cannot be guaranteed.

CAMERA, FILM & EXPOSURE ISSUES

iLA Film Lab is not responsible for blank, underexposed, overexposed, fogged, light-leaked, improperly loaded, improperly advanced, previously damaged, expired, or otherwise unusable film when the condition was not caused by iLA Film Lab. This includes issues resulting from camera malfunction, improper film loading or handling, manufacturer defects, age or storage of the film, airport/security scanning, previous exposure to heat, moisture, light, radiation, or other circumstances outside the lab's control.

LOSS OR DAMAGE

Although every reasonable effort is made to protect customer materials, submitting physical film or negatives involves some risk of loss or damage.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, in the event film, negatives, or other customer materials are accidentally lost, damaged, or destroyed while in the custody of iLA Film Lab, iLA Film Lab's liability will be limited to the reasonable replacement cost of the unexposed film and/or a refund of the affected processing or scanning service, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

iLA Film Lab is not responsible for sentimental, artistic, anticipated, consequential, or other intangible value associated with images or photographic materials to the extent such limitation is permitted by law.

NEGATIVE STORAGE & PICKUP

Customers who select local negative pickup are responsible for retrieving their negatives after receiving their scans. Negatives are held for 7 days after scans are delivered. Beginning on day 8, unclaimed negatives may be permanently disposed of unless other arrangements have been confirmed with iLA Film Lab in writing.

Customers who need additional pickup time should contact iLA Film Lab before the 7-day holding period expires.

DIGITAL FILES

Customers are responsible for downloading and backing up delivered scans before the download link expires. iLA Film Lab does not guarantee permanent storage or recovery of digital files after the stated download period.

ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By submitting an order, dropping off or mailing photographic materials, and/or purchasing film-processing services from iLA Film Lab, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these terms.

Nothing in these terms is intended to waive or limit any rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived or limited under applicable law.
